Ultrasonic Cavitation & Radio Frequency

This course is aimed at qualified therapists who hold a Swedish Body Massage/Level 3 in beauty Therapy and a Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology, who want to extend their career in Massage and add this treatment to their list of holistic therapies.

Ultrasound Cavitation is a relatively recent technology that is used for fat reduction. Cavitation is a natural phenomenon that uses low-frequency ultrasound to sculpt the body without the use of anaesthesia.

It is a risk-free treatment that avoids scarring, discomfort, and downtime, and it is regarded as a safe alternative to liposuction. The ultrasound creates a high- pressure wave that targets the fat cell membranes and because the membranes are unable to withstand the pressure, they disintegrate into a liquid state that is naturally eliminated, resulting in immediate fat loss.

Ultrasonic cavitation breaks down fat cells; it ruptures the fat cell membrane, releasing its fat content and transforming it into a liquid easily eliminated by the:
•    Sweat glands
•    Liver
•    Lymphatic system
which is then eliminated via the urine.

Radiofrequency is a non-invasive and non-surgical approach to skin tightening. Deep-seated soft tissues from under the skin are stimulated through RF. This facilitates healing through the production of new collagen tissues that are reactive towards the RF waves.

Using Radio Frequency waves we are able to remould tissues and encourage collagen production. RF Therapy penetrates the dermis layer of skin. This method works fast at promoting skin tightening and collagen growth which normally would take months to achieve.

The TriPollar wand used in RF has the feel of a warm massage. This procedure has rather quick results and requires no downtime. The tissue is heated to a specific temperature (40-42 degrees) that the therapist constantly monitors with a thermometer, resulting in more fibroblast cells that tighten the skin and cause lipolysis (which is the fat cells being heated to drop excess liquid fat out of the localised area).

Our face to face training courses are a very hands on day, you will be required to read your manual at home, in depth, to gain a good understanding of your chosen course. We will do a little bit of theory in the morning and the rest of the day is a practical, hands on, training day.

Our face to face training courses are available in group sessions 221 or 121, there are separate pricing for groups and 121 sessions.

You are required to bring your own lunch.

Entry Requirement & Prerequisites:

• This course is aimed at qualified therapists who hold a qualification in Anatomy & Physiology
• A Level 3 in Beauty Therapy or Swedish Body Massage

Course duration:
1 Day in the classroom, 9.30am – 4.00pm.

Assessment and examination method:
There will be continuous formative assessments taking place during the day while you practise. On completion of the training day, you will be expected to answer verbal questions and perform a Pregnancy massage with minimal direction from your tutor, this is your summative assessment.

Qualification:
Upon completion of this course, you will receive a Diploma in Ultrasonic Cavitation & Radio Frequency certificate.
