Indian Head Massage Diploma

This course is open to anyone, who would like to become qualified in this holistic treatment, no experience is needed.

Indian Head Massage is an extremely effective treatment that was only practised by women in India as part of a family ritual, for over a thousand years.  It was restricted to the head, scalp and hair.  This has since been extended and techniques are now used on the neck, shoulders and upper arms also and are well known for relieving symptoms of stress.  

Indian Head Massage can be performed in a seated position or a laying down position. Both techniques will be taught on the day.

Our face to face training courses are a very hands on day, you will be required to read your manual at home, in depth, to gain a good understanding of your chosen course. We will do a little but of theory in the morning and the rest of the day is a practical, hands on, training day.

Our face to face training courses are available in group sessions 221 or 121, there are separate pricing for groups and 121 sessions.

You are required to bring your own lunch.

• Sterilisation, Hygiene in the salon & preparing your work area
• Professionalism / Code of Ethics
• Related Anatomy and Physiology
• History of Indian Head Massage
• Benefits of Indian Head Massage
• Providing aftercare advice
• Contra-indications and Contra-actions
• Consultation process and an example of the consultation form
• Insurance.

Entry Requirement & Prerequisites:
This course is open to anyone over the age of 18. No previous experience needed.

Course duration:
1 Day in the classroom, 9.30am – 1.30pm.

Assessment and examination method:
There will be continuous formative assessments taking place during the day while you practise. On completion of the training day, you will be expected to answer verbal questions and perform an Indian Head massage with minimal direction from your tutor, this is your summative assessment.

Qualification:
Upon completion of this course, you will receive a Diploma in Indian Head Massage certificate.

Insurance cover:
Once you complete this training you will be entitled to gain insurance. All courses at Graceful Aura Training Academy are accredited and recognised by CPD Professional Accreditation
